THE INAUGURAL POST

Here goes the travel blog! I have been meaning to start a travel blog with each trip I take, and finally decided to go for it. Mostly for friends and family to keep up with my trips, but hopefully it will make for some interesting reading for others as well.

A little bit about me - I live and work in Charlotte, NC as a manufacturing engineer. I've been here since February 2013, moving from Wilmington, NC for a job transfer. I am a North Carolina girl, growing up here (with a 5 year stint right outside of Cleveland, OH thrown in there) and going to NC State University for my undergrad. 

So, back to the traveling! I am lucky to have gone on a few trips and experience some amazing things. I'll detail some trips in future posts, but let's see if I can list them out for now:

First, some of my travels within the US:

My next exciting trip is with one of my best friends, Kelly, down to Playa del Carmen, Mexico for a week at an all-inclusive. We are both obviously very excited about our trip - a countdown has been posted on my work computer since the 110 day mark - and can't wait to blog any chance we get about whatever adventures we get into! We leave Friday November 22 and come back Thursday the 28th - Thanksgiving Day!
